Stirling had an eventful 5th grade year. He was a successful peer mediator; his teacher and pricnipal both mentioned to me that they could always count on him, and knew that if Stirling was part of a mediation it would be very successful. His hard work paid off in everything he pursued. He was chosen as student of the month by the City of Windcrest Optimist club and he received some very prestigeous awards at the 5th grade awards ceremony; the American Legion award and medal and the President of the US Education award, signed by President Bush and th Secretary of Education. He's really following in his sisters footsteps. They are big shoes to fill, but he's difinitely up to the task. These are just two of the very many awards he took home this year. Thankfully, it hasn't gone to his head, he seems to be able to stay humble so far
